Korean by birth and a graduate of the Paris Conservatoire, the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, and the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Da-Hee is a pianist of some note.
She loves performing, whether as a soloist or in chamber music, and since graduating Da-Hee has played across Europe, Korea, and the US. The 2024–2025 season has been particularly memorable: performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D minor, K. 466, with the Oriflamme Ensemble under Antoine Mitchell at St Mary’s Church in Warwick; sharing the stage with her talented brother, violinist Da-Min Kim, at the International Symphonic Festival of Music at the Opéra d'Alger; and recording 24 Preludes for Piano by friend and colleague Nicholas Scott-Burt at the prestigious St George’s Bristol. This recording is released by Divine Arts Records.
Da-Hee recalls that music has been in her heart since she was a toddler, and her love for the piano has only deepened over the years. Alongside performing, she is passionate about teaching piano, music theory, and chamber music, and cherishes the role of accompanist.
As pianist of Duo Ainos, Da-Hee has explored a rich repertoire of violin and piano sonatas. Since moving to the UK, she discovered the art of ballet accompaniment — a magical collaboration between pianist and dancer that continually inspires her. Da-Hee is currently developing in this unique role at Elmhurst Ballet School, in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet.
